Girls Varsity Cheerleading vs. Houghton Lake High School

Wildcats Lose: 448.06 - 577.50
The Alpena JV and Varsity teams competed this weekend at Houghton lake for their annual Cheer on the Lake Competition. Their was 6 teams in the Junior Varsity Division and they rose past expectations as the crowd cheered them on and pushed them for a good finish with their total score for all three rounds being 332.00 putting them in 5th place.
Varsity had a long day ahead of them first supporting their JV team and finally getting to take the mat @ 2pm against 22 other teams from all over northern Michigan Scoring 448.06 points placing us in 4th place unfortunately due to penalties we caught but were not the only team who received those penalties. Now heading to districts in Mt. Pleasant in hopes to place higher than last year and progress more and more each and every year.

Wildcats Lose: 430.60 - 670.10
Alpena earned a 3rd place win with a Round 1, 2, and 3 Total score of 430.34. Competing against Clio, Heritage, and T.C. Royals which is a combination of TC West and East together.

Alpena Varsity Placed 2nd with a Round 1 through Round 3 total score of 391.54 In Marquette, Mi at Northern Michigan University at the Wildcat Winter Challenge.
