Connon Approaches Milestone Victory

ALPENA, MI - The Alpena Wrestling team hosted their only home meet of the season on January 16 with Petoskey and Gaylord. Noah Connon defeated Gaylord's Aurelius Krumholz in a 7-2 decision to move to 27-3 on the season. Connon is approaching 100 career victories, which would make him the 16th wrestler in program history to reach that milestone. Matt Barrett was pinned by Cody Stark of Gaylord in the 152 weight class and Wyatt Romero was pinned by Gaylord's Cade Foster in the 189 weight class. The Wrestling team travels to Benzie Central on Saturday.
