Alpena Cross Country finished their regular season on Saturday, October 21 at the Gaylord Michawye Pines Golf Course. Both teams had stellar performances with most of the athletes ending the season with their career best times! Aden Smith ran a career best time of 15:43 to win the Division 1 race and lead his team to a 2nd place overall finish and trophy! Josh Smith, Drew Seabase, Sam Tuscher, Jimmy Decker, Zachary Zaborney and Clay Donajkowski rounded out the boys varsity crew and will continue training for the Regionals. Career best times were run by Ben Carriveau, Jimmy Decker, Robert Fairchild, Isaac Kelley, Blake MacDonald, Ben Poli, Drew Seabase, Aden Smith, Brendan Stepaniak and Sam Tuscher. Additional season best times were Clay Donajkowski Seth Haugerud, Josh Smith and Evan Thayer. Maddy Boyd also ran a career best time of 18:51 to place 5th in the Division 1 race. Molly Dickenson, Kaylee Rondeau, Tiffany Foster, Malley McGuire, Katie Foust and Grace Weaver completed the varsity 7 and will also continue training for Regionals. Career best times were run by Maddy Boyd, Molly Dickenson, Tiffany Foster, Emeline Hanna, Brianna Mucciante, Alaina Najmowicz, Abbigale OBryan, Kaylee Rondeau, Angela Young and Grace Weaver. Season est times were run by Ann Lel, Katie Foust, Kiersten Genschaw, Malley McGuire, Allison Poli, Shelly Sexton and Ava Shriner. Lots of hard work and dedication has led this group to the point of ending in excellence! We are graduating many seniors this year and would like to thank them for their commitment to Alpena Cross Country! 4 year runners: Nic Timmreck, Olivia Beach, Ann Bell, Kiersten Genschaw, Allison Poli, Shelby Sexton, Abbigale Weaver.
