EAST LANSING, MI - Kennedy Ellis shot a two day 177 to finish 23rd in the MHSAA Division 2 Girls Golf Finals at Michigan State's Forest Akers East.  After an opening-round 94 on Friday, Kennedy found herself tied for 40th entering the final round.  After some adjustments, Kennedy rallied to shot an 83 in the final round to finish 23rd overall.  Kennedy was the third-highest finishing BNC player that competed in the Division 2 State Finals.  Gabriella Tapp of South Lyon was the overall state champion with a two-day score of 150.

TRAVERSE CITY, MI - The AHS Girls’ Golf team competed at the BNC final tournament at Traverse City Country Club on Monday. The Wildcats shot their lowest team score of the season, with a 468. Kennedy Ellis took 6th place with a score of 90. Gianna Bolda shot 119; Arlene Dai shot 122, and Mykenzie Klimczak shot 134. Anci Dy from TC West was the medalist, with a score of 76, and Harbor Springs won the Invitational with a team score of 358.

Kennedy Ellis was named BNC all-conference 2nd team.  Ellis also qualified as an individual for MHSAA State Finals and will compete at MSU’s Forest Akers Golf Course on Friday and Saturday.

MIDLAND, MI - Kennedy Ellis shot an 81 to lead the Wildcats at theMHSAA Regionals at Currie West Golf Club in Midland on Tuesday. The Wildcats shot a season-low 472, led by Ellis's 81.  Gianna Bolda shot a 111, Mykenzie Klimczak shot a 145, Kaiya Little shot a 170, and Bekah Carlson shot a 135. Ellis took second place individually and qualified for the MHSAA State Finals on October 18 at Forest Akers Golf Course at MSU.

Ashley Lamb from Petoskey was the Regional Medalist, and Petoskey was the overall Regional Champion with a team score of 365.

The Wildcats will play again in BNC Finals on October 14 at Traverse City Country Club.

TRAVERSE CITY, MI - The Alpena Girls Golf team traveled to Bay Meadows Golf Course in Traverse City on Wednesday afternoon. The Wildcats shot a team score of 414. Gianna Bolda led the team with a 90; Arlene Dai shot 100; Rebekah Carlson and Kaiya Little both shot 112, and Gabrielle Hautea shot 139.

The Wildcats next meet will be the MHSAA Regionals on October 8th.

CHEBOYGAN, MI - The Alpena Girls’ Golf team traveled to Cheboygan Golf and Country Club on Monday in a round that was interrupted by an hour rain delay.  The Wildcats finished with a team score of 531. Kennedy Ellis led our team with a 99. Gianna Bolda shot 136; Savannah Servia shot 152; Caisee Stanton shot 144; Kaiya Little shot 166, and Mykenzie Klimczak shot 163.

The Harbor Springs Rams won the tournament with a team score of 339. Anci Dy was the individual medalist with a score of 72.

HARBOR SPRINGS, MI - The Alpena Girls’ Golf team shot a year low score as a team of a 472 at the Wequetonsing Golf Course in Harbor Springs on Thursday. Kennedy Ellis placed 9th overall with a score of 93. Gianna Bolda shot 121; Arlene Dai shot 127; Rebekah Carlson shot 131; Kaiya Little shot 147, and Savannah Servia shot 148.

Anci Dy was the tournament medalist with a score of 68, and her Traverse City West Titans were the tournament champions with a score of 340.

CHARLEVOIX, MI - The Alpena Girls’ Golf Team competed in the Charlevoix Invitational at Belvedere Golf Club on Monday. Kennedy Ellis led the team with an 8th-place 86. Mykenzie Klimczak shot 125; Katie Kurowski shot 150; Rebekah Carlson shot 142, and Savannah Servia shot 127. As a team, Alpena shot 480.

Anci Dy from Traverse City West was the medalist with a seven-under 65. Traverse City Central won the tournament with a team score of 338.

PETOSKEY, MI - The Alpena Girls Golf team competed in the Petoskey Invitational on Thursday afternoon at the Bay View Country Club.  Kennedy Ellis finished 5th overall with a 92 while the team shot a 524.  Gianna Bolda (130), Caisee Stanton (150), Katie Kurowksi (152), and Mykenzie Klimczak (155) were the other Wildcats who participated in the event.

TRAVERSE CITY, MI - Alpena High School Junior Kennedy Ellis competed in the Lober Invitational at the Grand Traverse Resort on August 19 and 20. Ellis finished 23rd out of the 64 division 2 girls that competed. She was 6th out of the 23 girls from the BNC that competed. She shot 102 on the first day on the Wolverine and shot 96 on the second day on Spruce Run. She completed the 36 hole tournament with a 198 overall. Ellis was paired with Northville the 2018 D1 state champs, Grosse Point South the 2018 D1 8th place team at States, and Forest Hills Northern the D2 state champs 2018.
