AHS. Cross Country ran their season best times at Regionals at Delta College on Saturday October 28. Maddy Boyd qualified for the Division 1 State Meet by running her career best of 18:48. The Top 15 girls were all under 19 minutes! As a team, the girls ran great and ended as a team by hitting their best times of the season! Aden Smith is the individual Regional Champion. This is an honor that Alpena has had for 3 years in a row now with Mitchell Day winning in 2015 and 2016. Aden wil be heading to the Division 1 State Meet with his brother Josh and teammate, freshman, Drew Seabase. The team ran their best times of the season as well! But they still fell short with only 8 points separating 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams will compete at TEAM STATES. The runners will compete again at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday November 4.
